Launched in 2010, the Family Financial Empowerment (FFE) investment area seeks to increase skills and assets for low-income Latino families.   In one year LCF has invested over $450,000 to achieve this goal. In 2011 LCF will invest an additional $225,000 for a total investment of almost $700,000. 

LCF is currently funding 8 community-based organizations in 6 counties:

• CAMINOS Pathways Learning Center – San Francisco
• Canal Alliance - Marin
• Michael Chavez Center – Contra Costa
• North Peninsula Neighborhood Services Center – San Mateo
• Nuestra Casa – San Mateo
• Somos Mayfair - Santa Clara
• Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center – Alameda
• Unity Council - Alameda
