Latino Community Foundation Budget Statement

As Latino families across the nation work to create a brighter future for themselves, their children, and their communities, they been very clear: access to quality health care and a fair shot at economic opportunity are essential to that future.

The Latino Community Foundation (LCF)  believes our nation's federal tax policy should reflect those values. We believe in an economy that lifts families up. We believe in protecting Medicaid and food assistance programs that help our communities live with dignity and stay healthy. And we believe in strengthening the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors that are critical to serving Latino families.

The House’s tax bill ignores the needs of working families. Now it’s up to the Senate: double down on the same harmful approach or choose reforms that invest in our nation’s future.

LCF stands for a future in which every family can thrive — and we urge the Senate to stand up for the same.
