The Latino Community Foundation stands in solidarity with Los Angeles’ immigrant community. This weekend's immigration actions by the federal government are part of a larger pattern occurring across the country to instill fear and intimidate our most vulnerable communities.

We support the people's right to peacefully assemble and exercise their First Amendment rights. We must ensure humane treatment and due process for all, and the Trump administration must end its indiscriminate and violent ICE raids.

We also call for the immediate release of SEIU California President David Huerta and all those unjustly detained from this weekend's immigration protests.

The recent deployment of the National Guard, as well as any further attempts to escalate the situation, are an affront to our values as a nation.

LCF remains committed to mobilizing resources, uplifting community voices, and supporting policies that ensure every family in this country—regardless of status—can live with dignity, hope, and safety.
