With a nimble and adaptive approach, Laura is eager to bring her unique experience to strengthen LCF’s grants and philanthropy operations in service to LCF and the greater Latino community she loves so dearly.
As the Senior Grants & Philanthropy Associate, Laura brings a keen eye in her role executing data entry of donations and grant awards into LCF’s database, and an engaging approach in maintaining community partner relationships and supporting donor stewardship through other foundation sectors.
Before joining the LCF family, Laura was a Marketing Specialist and Regional Sales Coordinator for a solar lighting start-up company in the Bay Area. In this role, she successfully managed multiple sales accounts and led several marketing campaigns, helping to enhance the company’s distribution channels nationwide.
She was raised in Hawthorne, CA, and moved to the Bay Area to attend the University of California, Berkeley where she ultimately earned a Bachelor’s in Media Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies. Throughout her time at UC Berkeley, Laura immersed herself in organizations that advocated for women’s rights and fed her passion for the art and science of media and communications. In her free time, she enjoys thrift shopping, listening to podcasts, and discovering new restaurants for brunch.
