As the Senior Executive Assistant, Cenia supports the CEO and senior team with stakeholder engagement and core operations of the Latino Community Foundation. Cenia plays a central role in ensuring our daily operations run smoothly and effectively. Most recently, Cenia served as Program Manager for the Aspen Institute’s Latinos and Society program, where she supported event planning, fundraising, and business development efforts. Cenia also served as the Senior Associate for Institutional Advancement at Aspen Institute. In that role, she cultivated donors, coordinated strategic partnerships, and successfully managed the Annual Appeal Campaign to raise unrestricted funds for Aspen Institute.Cenia has over eight years of experience serving under-resourced communities on topics related to college affordability, immigration, and criminal justice. At the University of Southern California’s (USC) Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, she served as the Scholarship Coordinator and helped award scholarships, stipends, and federal work-study funds to graduate students. She is most proud of serving as the Client Engagement & Business Development Coordinator at the U.S. Immigration Law Group, LLP, organizing over 50+ forums and legal clinics to educate 2,000+ Los Angeles and Orange County residents about immigration policies, their immigration rights, and opportunities for legalization.
Cenia holds a Master of Education from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. In her free time Cenia enjoys traveling, hot yoga, and visiting new local coffee shops.
