Today is National Voter Registration Day. If you are not registered to vote, there is no time like right now: Register Here.
If you are registered already – GREAT! Now text or email five family members and find out if they are registered to vote – and remind them that the midterm elections are only 42 days away. If they are not registered yet, take a moment to assist them. It just takes five minutes of your time.
Every. Single. Vote. Matters. If your tia or primo is still wondering if it really matters, consider this: In San Joaquin County, the 2016 congressional election was decided by less than 2,000 votes. Yet, only one out of five Latinos cast their vote in that election. What if every Latino voted? With 7 million eligible voters in California, we can determine who will represent us in Congress, City Council, and equally important, who our County Sheriff will be. These -among others on our ballots- are people who make critical decisions impacting our daily lives, our families, and our neighborhoods.
Too much is riding on these results. This is why the Latino Community Foundation will not sit on the sidelines. We are ready to unleash this political power in California!
We are proud to be partnering with Mi Familia Vota, Dolores Huerta Foundation, SIREN, and Power California to register, engage, and mobilize 100,000 Latino new voters in the Central Valley.
Will you join us? Let’s make history together!
