Yadira oversees the daily financial operations at LCF, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the accounting and financial reporting functions. Her responsibilities encompass accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal controls, investment management, and nonprofit fund accounting.
With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit finance, Yadira has held numerous leadership and management roles across a diverse range of sectors, including immigrant rights, fiscal sponsorship, affordable housing and environmental justice. She brings a wealth of expertise in fostering long-term financial sustainability, enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening organizational capacity. Adept at navigating periods of rapid organizational change, she provides strategic financial insights to support both immediate and long-term planning, always with a focus on advancing the mission and ensuring fiscal stability. Beyond her professional endeavors, Yadira has contributed to the nonprofit sector by serving on multiple boards of directors.
A firm believer in the power of finance as a strategic organizing tool, Yadira continuously seeks innovative ways to translate, narrate and integrate financial concepts across the organization. She is dedicated to ensuring that financial strategies align with and support the organization’s mission while fostering strong, motivated teams.
Yadira earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, with a double major in Economics and International Relations. She also completed an Accounting Certificate from UCLA Extension.
Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico and raised in Northern California, Yadira is proud of her Mixtec heritage. When she is not busy working in an Excel document, she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband, breaking a sweat at the gym, or caring for her plants.
