Less than three years ago, we launched the Latino Power Fund with a clear objective: invest in power building and strengthen the infrastructure to deliver meaningful change.
To date, we have invested $7.3 million into 101 Latino-led nonprofits across California. Our community partners have used these resources to leverage $700 million dollars of federal funds to create a more inclusive economy—and build a stronger democracy where people can trust that government can work for them.
Today, LCF is announcing the next round of investments to continue building long-term civic and economic power.
We are proud to launch our sabbatical program, Rest is Power, and our Capital Campaign initiative. LCF has committed over $1.5 million in grants and technical support to help leaders take time off to rest and heal as well as purchase permanent homes to continue building enduring power in our communities.
These grants will support grassroot organizations that have been on the frontlines of guarding our democracy, mobilizing voters, addressing climate disasters, and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are heroes who have shown up for our communities, time and time again.
We stand with them—and commit to their rest, healing, and their future. This is how we win!
Thank YOU for being part of the solution and making history with us. Together, we are moving closer to the ideals of our democracy.
