This morning, we woke up with a clearer sense of what lies ahead for the next four years. In the midst of it all, I hope you’re finding the space you need to process, reflect, and connect with loved ones who, like us, are considering what this moment means for our future. In my own reflections, I return to the certainty I have in the value and strength of our community, and the renewed urgency of our work together in California and beyond.
To our community partners, please know how deeply grateful the Latino Community Foundation (LCF) is for your tireless dedication to building a just and equitable future. This journey is far from over; it goes beyond any single election. Through it all, we remain united and dedicated to a thriving, multi-racial democracy.
To all LCF stakeholders near and far, I invite you to join LCF next Wednesday for a critical conversation and call to action:
Driving Lasting Change: Power-Building Post-Election in California and Beyond
November 13, 2024
11:30 AM PT
The President-Elect put a target on our community’s back – this is not new. However, we are better prepared to anticipate and protect those most vulnerable among us this time around. On Wednesday, we’ll hear from national and state leaders and outline the urgent priorities that need our attention in 2025 and beyond. Together, we’ll transform lessons into action and action into impact.
Philanthropy and it’s community-based partners have a powerful role to play in this moment. I hope you’ll join us as we step forward with intention, urgency, and strength.
