The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) is committed to pursuing peace, joy, and hope as we work to unleash the power of Latinos and pursue equity for our communities in 2022.
In the midst of continued uncertainty in our world, there are reasons to remain optimistic about the year ahead. The implementation of the American Rescue Plan and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act intended to level the playing field for communities of color and working families, the proposed expansion of #Health4All to all California immigrants regardless of their status, and mid-term elections with senate and mayoral races in Oakland, Los Angeles, San Jose and several other key cities in the state—are all opportunities for our families and communities to unleash their civic and economic power.
LCF is poised to influence and shape outcomes at the state and national level with our Latino Power Fund—leveraging the power of our Latino Giving Circle Network, community partners, and amplifying the voices of our youth and families. We are ready…and only getting stronger.
As we work to create meaningful change across our state, we encourage you all to take a moment to read on our latest CEP Blog, From Weeping to Rejoicing, with California Endowment’s CEO Dr. Bob Ross. Together, we reflect on philanthropy’s path forward and the crucial role it can play in investing in our non-profit leaders to strengthen the foundation of our democracy.
“Building a new normal will be a heavy lift, but we are ready for it. Our grassroots leaders…have not grown weary of sowing the seeds of social change.”
We hope the path forward inspires you to press forward. You are part of the solution, and we are honored to serve alongside you.
