As the first Chief Innovation Officer at the Latino Community Foundation, Ms. Pérez Cash leads a portfolio of teams and initiatives key to the foundation’s strategic growth from a regional to a national grantmaker. She is directly responsible for deepening and expanding LCF’s grantmaking footprint and impact, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering the values of love, joy, and culture throughout the foundation.

Ms. Pérez Cash joins LCF’s leadership team as an experienced nonprofit executive. As the former Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), she led fundraising and corporate relations, strategic engagements, finance and operations, and governance. During her tenure, she also served as the Interim Director of Research, Executive Programs (events and conferences), and led the Communications and Human Resource departments. Prior to HACR, Ms. Perez Cash served as an executive leader in community philanthropy organizations, first as the VP of Governance and International Affairs and Chief of Staff at the Cleveland Foundation, the largest grantmaking organization in Ohio, and subsequently as the VP of Strategic Programs and Knowledge at the United Way of Greater Cleveland, one of the largest United Way chapters in the country.

Ms. Pérez Cash has dedicated her career to addressing racial and economic equity, social justice, and community empowerment, having worked in international and national community development, community philanthropy and diversity, equity and inclusion. She is also a regular presenter and moderator, leveraging almost 10 years of training as a facilitator.

Sylvia is passionate about her family and is an active volunteer at her children’s school.  She enjoys swimming, the beach, and loves large family meals where she cooks for, and connects with, her loved ones.
