Our Story

The Bay Area is known world-wide as a center for technology. The Latinos in Tech Giving Circle emerged from this critical and vibrant sector with members – in tech and non-tech roles alike- representing companies from the newest, smallest start up to the giants of the industry like Google and Facebook. Members are young, ambitious, love travel, and many come from humble beginnings. In many ways, they represent the “firsts” in their families — first to graduate college, to break into tech, to serve in key leadership roles. They are determined not to be the last.

Though Latinos comprise a small minority of the sector overall, members of the Latinos in Tech Giving Circle are leading efforts to spark Latinx inclusion in their companies in addition to distributing grants. For example, in June 2020 amid the uprising for Black Lives Matter, Latinos in Tech Circle members convened as a working group to explore how they could leverage the moment for change within their institutions.
