Amber is on a mission to leverage the energy and potential of all Latinxs to create a more equitable society.
In her current position as Senior Program Manager, Amber executes and manages the strategic vision of our core initiatives – the Latino Giving Circle Network and the Latino NonProfit Accelerator. In this role Amber supports our philanthropists and grantees to maximize and unleash their own power and power of our communities. She uses storytelling to help shape a new narrative about Latinxs in California and across the country.
In her previous role as LCF Operations Manager, she was instrumental in strengthening our internal operations while also supporting our program and policy team to successfully execute our programs and events. She has been instrumental in establishing the LCF Internship and Fellowship programs as well as the “Yo Voy a Votar ¿Y Tú?” voter registration campaign.
Prior to joining LCF, Amber worked for four years at UC Berkeley’s LEAD Center, where she helped others discover their leadership strengths and learn how to work effectively with diverse teams. A mover and shaker, she has been a contributor to the Huffington Post’s Latino Voices blog and also worked as an Editorial Intern at Her Agenda, a digital media platform working to elevate the achievements of millennial women.
Amber is a graduate of UC Berkeley, where she received Bachelor’s Degrees in both Political Economy and French and minored in global poverty and practice. She carries a California spirit and Peruvian soul in her personal and professional life. These days, that translates into pursuing her dreams of writing a New York Times bestseller and visiting 30 countries by the time she turns 30.
