BACK TO OUR TEAM

Laura is known as a powerhouse in LCF.

In her current position as Director of Finance and Operations, she draws on both her two decades of deep experience as well as a fierce tenacity to advance social change.

Previously, Laura worked for several startups—including iXL, Muse Communications, Aligo, and SoftCoin—before moving into the non-profit sector and taking a position at the Craigslist Foundation. The practice of giving back is a thread that Laura has woven throughout her life. As a secondary student, she tutored younger children with learning challenges. At UC Santa Cruz, she made tremendous and enduring impact in roles ranging from Events Assistant at the UCSC Women’s Center to Crisis Counselor at the Women’s Crisis Support & Shelter Services to Founder of KZUT Campus Community Television. Laura also directed an award-winning documentary on Mothers for Peace and received the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Community Service.

Laura received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. Today, she lives out her commitment to a healthy work-life balance in San Mateo, where she takes meditative walks along the coast, cleaning up local beaches as she goes.
