The wildfires tearing through Southern California have upended the lives of countless families. Among them are homeowners, small business owners, and workers who are the heart and soul of these communities, including domestic workers, day laborers, and small contractors.
Our team spent yesterday connecting with our grassroots partners and Latino Giving Circle Members in Los Angeles to assess the immediate needs of our community. Our hearts are with all those facing this unimaginable loss. We stand beside them during this time of profound need.
The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) has a long history of rapid response work supporting Latino and immigrant communities in the aftermath of wildfires, COVID-19, and other natural disasters, having deployed several million dollars towards these collective efforts. To provide urgent support to victims of the Los Angeles area fires, we encourage you to contribute to our California Wildfire Relief Fund.
Thank you for joining us in providing direct support to the individuals, families, and organizations who will feel the effects of these fires in the months ahead.
Together, we can offer hope, support, and love to nuestra comunidad.
