BEATRIZ ACEVEDO
President, Fundación Acevedo
Beatriz Acevedo is a leading inspirational voice and Latina entrepreneur in the United States. She has dedicated her career to open doors for the next generation of Latinx leaders. Beatriz started her career in media at a young age, first in radio and later in television. Her work earned her three Emmy’s, one MTV music award, and a media correspondent award, among many others. The mentorship initiatives that she’s created through her Accelerator Program, have also provided invaluable access to young Latino storytellers.
Beatriz serves on numerous boards and is an advisor on Mayor Eric Garcetti’s tech council as well as on Annenberg’s foundation tech initiative, PledgeLA. She recently co-founded LA Collab, a Hollywood initiative to double Latino representation in Hollywood in front and behind the camera by 2030.
Beatriz is the President of her family’s foundation “Fundación Acevedo.” For the past 30 years, the Foundation has provided scholarships for students who lack the financial means to pursue a higher education. Beatriz lives in Santa Monica and is a proud Mexican Latina who juggles work along with her 12-year-old twins Isabela and Diego. Read full bio here.
STEVEN WOLFE PEREIRA
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Encantos, PBC
Steven Wolfe Pereira is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Encantos, PBC (“Encantos”). Encantos is an award-winning B-Corp with a mission to inspire 21st century kids to learn 21st century skills. Encantos builds purpose-driven direct-to-consumer family brands that incorporate 21st century learning, literacy and life skills – all connected by culture. Based in Culver City, CA, Encantos is a proud female-owned public benefit corporation that puts diversity, equality, and inclusion at the heart of everything it creates.
An Emmy-nominated executive producer, Mr. Wolfe Pereira was named by Adweek as one of the “50 Most Indispensable Executives in Marketing, Media and Tech” as well as one of the top Chief Marketing Technology Officers. Steven has served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Datalogix (acquired by Oracle), Neustar (acquired by Golden Gate Capital) and Quantcast. He began his career in finance at The Blackstone Group, Salomon Smith Barney (Citi) and Violy, Byorum & Partners.
A passionate supporter of women, diversity and STEAM education initiatives, Steven serves as a board director of the Ad Council, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the Kapor Center’s SMASH program and the Presidio Graduate School.
